Adult Bible Study and Christian Education: The study of Scripture is central to adult ministry at First.  There are many opportunities to participate in such study, both on Sunday mornings and in small groups.  No matter what your comfort level with your knowledge of the Bible, First has a class that's right for you.  For current class offerings, click on the "Ministries" menu above then on "Christian Education."

Small Group Ministry: First has an extensive Small Group Ministry, with groups meeting virtually every day/evening of the week.  For details about current group meetings, see the Weekly Calendar in the Announcements insert in each week's worship bulletin or contact Director of Christian Education Bridget Maloney (392.1144).

Men's Lunch Group meets in the Fellowship Hall the first Monday of each month at 12:00 noon for lunch, fellowship, and a program.

Presbyterian Women is an organization of all women at First.  Many women choose to participate in one of the Bible Study Circles; all are active in the various ministries which, collectively, nurture the life of the church.  Fellowship luncheons are held the fourth Monday of each month at 11:45 a.m.

Mom’s Group: On Friday mornings during the school year, this group of moms meets to study, make friends, and grow as Christians. The group chooses a book to study, and monthly workshops, speakers, and field trips add to the excitement. Childcare is provided for infants through preschoolers, and good food is always a part of this class!

Pool Parties and Family Outings: Families are invited to at least three pool parties and several all-church picnics a year.  We also will travel to Six Flags, Landa Park, Dripping Springs, and elsewhere in our quest to have as much fun as possible this year.

Special Events

Fall Festival: Held on the Sunday closest to Halloween, the whole church is transformed at this old-fashioned event that is a lot of fun but also an important outreach because the entire community is invited! Kids and their parents enjoy the Trick-or-Treat train ride, bobbing for apples, cake walk, costume contests, and more.
